Live in London: Zion T and Choice37

On Friday 17th February, we were lucky enough to have Zion T grace us with his presence at the O2 Forum Kentish Town, London! YG songwriter, producer and DJ Choice 37 opened the show!

As expected, fans queued from the morning, not wasting any time! The atmosphere was chilled out, whilst everyone mingled and jammed to music. Before the show started, Zion. T met and greeted fans that were lucky enough to acquire VIP tickets. He was so humble, and was kind enough to sign anything that you had!

Now onto the show!

When I say that Choice37 absolutely ripped up the stage! Oh my goodness!

He played a mixture of YG hits and bangers, as well incorporating old school, new school and some UK Grime! Mad props to Choice! He was confident and had a lot of swag and sass to his performance!

The killer moment was when he played a mix of Top’s “Turn it Up” and Snoop Dogg’s “Drop it Like It’s Hot”; he then shouted:

“This is dedicated to Top!’

When Skinny Red hit the stage, I think he was taken back by the crowd’s reaction to him. My question was why? As his show was sold out, so this should have told him something!

As early as the first song, the crowd were singing everything word-for-word, and Zion T’s reaction each time was “wow”, “you’re perfect”. There was a point where he told Choice37 to stop the music, and restart it, as he wanted the moment to be perfect for us.

It all went by so fast, and he sung a number of songs, including the following:

  • “No Make-Up”
  • “Just”
  • “Two Melodies”
  • Yanghwa Bridge
  • “Eat”
  • “노래 (The Song)”

When I say he sounds like a studio recording! Not one note was missed, or out of place. He was absolutely flawless and very interesting to watch. I was in complete, and utter shock!

He’s very slim, delicate and so, so charming! If you weren’t attracted to him before the show, it would be a different story once you had left! He has such a unique stage presence, and I couldn’t keep my eyes off of him. His fan service was ruuuuuude!

His glasses were partially transparent, and when it was my turn to receive the fan service, I kept eye contact for a short while, but I began to feel flustered and had to look away.

His charm was extremely powerful, and it left us weak!!

At the end of his set, he bowed very low, for a long time.

I could tell that he was beyond grateful, and overwhelmed.

If you ever get the chance, I would highly recommend seeing him live. he knows how to work the stage, and keep everyone hanging onto his every word.

Were you lucky enough to get tickets? What are your thoughts on the show?
